Doris Jupp
Integrative Counsellor
Professional background
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, with the knowledge of a wide range of theories and techniques that I tailor to the individual needs of those I support.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and work in accordance with their ethical framework for good practice.
Areas of practice
I am a warm & approachable person with years of experience working with the following concerns:
Anxiety, Abuse, Addiction, Depression, Domestic Violence, Grief, Emotional Abuse, Low self-confidence, Low Self-Esteem, Loss and Bereavement, Personality Disorders, Physical abuse, Relationship Concerns, Stress, Self-harm, Suicidal Thoughts, Trauma, Work related issues.
I do not give advice or solutions, yet will offer you a warm, honest space to discuss your concerns.
I aim to help you overcome any emotional issues you may face.
My main goal remains the same – to alleviate distress and to improve the mental wellbeing of all of my clients.
I recognise that each client has individual needs and no single approach is right for all clients.
During sessions I hope to;
- Hold individual sessions with clients in order to assess their needs.
- Encourage clients to open up and share their feelings or past experiences.
- Understand the concerns faced by each client.
- Find ways to help work through issues and develop individual goals.
Whilst I promote and encourage personal growth with clients, I am equally committed to my own continuous personal and professional development.
About me
I love to spend my free time walking my dog, exploring coastal areas of Cornwall and cooking dishes from around the world. I also dedicate part of my week as a Volunteer Counsellor for the charity HELP! working with Children and Young Adults and find this extremely rewarding.
