Tuesday: 9am – 6pm

Friday: 9am – 6pm

Saturday: 9am – 1pm

Evening appointments are available between 6pm – 8pm by special arrangement

Practitioner Background

Optometrist Adam Wannell graduated from Aston University with a BSc Ophthalmic Optics in 1994 and subsequently from City University with a Masters Degree in Clinical Optometry. Since joining the renowned Bristol Eye Hospital, he has worked within several clinics including contact lenses, low vision, macular degeneration & cataracts. He has a particular interest in Glaucoma achieving a Post-Graduate Glaucoma Diploma in 2010. Currently undertaking a further Diploma for Independent Prescribing, Adam aims to work in the Accident & Emergency Department next year.

Outside the Eye Hospital, as well as high street optometry practice, Adam has linked his professional knowledge with a longstanding interest in sport to achieve a Sports Vision Diploma. This has resulted in working with professional sportsmen & women to achieve the best from their vision as part of their overall goal to maximize sporting performance.

Having gained valuable experience through wide-ranging clinical work, when the dentist retired from Birdwell Clinic, I jumped at the chance to set up an independent opticians offering first class eye care for all ages.”
