What is Botox?
BOTOX is also known as Botulinum Toxin A and is a safe, purified protein. It works by temporarily blocking the activity of the treated muscles thus softening and preventing fine lines and wrinkles.
What is it Used For?
BOTOX is most effective for wrinkles related to movement in particular facial expressions. There are 3 main areas treated:
Frown wrinkles
Forehead wrinkles
Eye wrinkles – crows feet
How Long does it Last?
Effects are usually seen within a few days but may take 2 to 3 weeks to reach the full response. Results usually last for 3-4 months but may last longer with repeated treatments particularly on the forehead.
What are the Possible Side Effects?
Very fine needles are used thus side effects are mild and short lived. Common side effects are localised swelling at the injection site, bruising and headache.
How Much does it Cost?
Botox is charged per area and prices start at £155 for one site then vary according to your specific needs. Initial consultation cost is £50 but this is refundable against any treatments undertaken. We offer a free review and top-up at 2 weeks if required.
