CHEMICAL SKIN PEELS

What Are Chemical Skin Peels?

Chemical skin peels are one of the most commonly used skin rejuvenation treatments. They are powerful exfoliants and work by removing the outermost layer of skin which reduces the troughs which cause wrinkles, smooth out pits and remove oil-filled pores. Skin peels thus cause a smoother, more youthful appearance.

There are several different types of skin peels including trichloracetic acid (TCA peels) and glycolic acid peels. TCA is used for deep peels whilst glycolic acid is used for more superficial peels.
What is are They Used For?

Chemical skin peels improve the tone and texture of the skin and can reduce lines, wrinkles and pigmentation. They are also used in the treatment of acne.
What are the Possible Side Effects?

Side effects depend on the depth of the peel. Superficial peels produce temporary redness which usually settles within a few hours. Deep peels may produce more marked redness and skin flaking and shedding.
How Much does it Cost?

Individual skin peels start from £50.
Initial consultation cost is £50 but this is refundable against any treatments undertaken. We offer a free review and top-up at 2 weeks if required.
